Currently studying for an MA in Food and Culture, I am interested specifically in recipes and culinary knowledge in ancient Greco-Roman times and also in the modern world.
By looking at recipes from the ancient world and their modern reinterpretations and reconstructions, my research aims to reach through history to discover more about the food and culture of societies both past and present.
A large part of my study into modern recipes will focus on food and memory and the sensuality of eating. How do we create or recreate time, place and identity through food and cooking?
This blog will be a way of documenting these culinary adventures......who knows where they make take us?
